User Interface
sisHYD's user interface is based on a band design. The ribbon interface allows users to easily find functions and commands with a minimum number of clicks. Ribbons are organized by workflow. Each workflow consists of multiple tabs organized by tasks.
Ribbon Interface Elements
A ribbon interface is composed of the following:
- File Tab – Opens the Backstage view where you can perform different operations such as managing your file and its settings, importing and exporting files, accessing help, and so on.
- Quick Access Toolbar – Contains option to select the workflow and other frequently used commands.
- Ribbon Tab – Contains one or more groups.
- Group – A labeled set of closely related commands or tools.
- Search – Enter words or phrases to search for in the ribbon.
- Minimize – Minimize the
ribbon by clicking

- Help – Access
MicroStation help from the ribbon by clicking

- Dialog Box Launcher – Opens a dialog box that is related with the tools in the ribbon group
- Sign in glyph – Displays when you are signed in as a CONNECTED user.

sisHYD Ribbon
The sisHYD ribbon contains of two workflows.
- Drawing. More information about this workflow is available in the MicroStation on-line help.
- sisHYD. The tools in the ribbon are discussed in the following chapters.
File Tab and Backstage View
